Field Technician – North London Location: Travel required around North London (including Essex, Chelmsford, Stevenage, Luton, Cambridge, Peterborough)
Joining a dedicated, multiskilled broadcast engineering team in a rewarding and challenging field based role. Responsibilities include fault finding, maintenance and support on a wide range of equipment in the broadcast and telecommunications industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete planned works and maintenance on a range of systems and networksRespond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards, policies and proceduresSupport upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks following agreed instructionsMaintain accurate records, documentation and reporting of actions takenComplete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and customer requirementsEngage with customers and build positive working relationshipsSupervise the delivery of 3rd party suppliers and contractors to ensure that specifications and standards meet Arqiva requirementsGenerate maximum team efficiency through delivering bundled activities within skillsetSeek to upskill / develop to enable maximum benefit of preventing other truck rolls to site Must haves:
Clean driving licenceSome knowledge of the development, testing and maintenance of bespoke and COTS (Common off the Shelf) software/hardware for Broadcast, IP Network, IOT or corporate application depending on technical area of expertiseExperience with processes, standards and engineering practices related to monitoring and controlling (M&C)Working knowledge of systems and equipment relevant to role such as RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks, Telecoms etc.;.Working knowledge of the principles of power supplies, environmental controls, analogue and digital electronicsWorking knowledge of and able to apply Safety, Health and Environment legislation, policies and procedures Who We Are
