Job Title: Early Morning Personal Assistant
Location: Shoreham By Sea
Hourly rate: £15 per hour
Reference: DP1720
Hours/shifts: Mon, Thurs and Fri 7.30am-9.30am with additional hours when needed
Summary
To give my 25 year old daughter her breakfast and medication, brush her teeth and sit with her until her transport for her Day Centre arrives to collect her.
This can be term time only or continue during school holidays, as I work in education.
On the odd occasion I may need a PA to sit with my daughter if I go out in the evening to meet up with friends socially for a few hours. This again would mean giving my Daughter her dinner, meds and hoist her into bed.
My daughter is very laid back and as a parent I am not highly strung, just wanting and needing someone who loves their job and giving a high standard of care.
Other Requirements
• \"Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9.\"
• Must be comfortable with pets
• Non-smoker preferred or someone who is willing to refrain from smoking during work hours.

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
Description
Typical duties
Domestic -
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Personal Care:
• Assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets
• Teeth brushing
• Occasionally hoist her into bed.
• Other personal care tasks may be needed occasionally
Social:
Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and assisting with craft activities

The successful applicant will be:
• Female

• Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
• Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
• Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Honest and cheerful
• Creative
• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
