Depot Manager Position Overview
You will drive and maintain excellent standards of service across the Depot, through the planning, organising, monitoring and controlling of Transport and Depot operations within budget. Continuously improving the operation for increased efficiency and customer satisfaction, maintaining high standards within the depot, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace
Plan, allocate and manage Transport operations and manpower resources, in line with operational needs and volume trends, to specified KPI's, budgets and timescales.Monitor, review and adhere to budgets and timescales, whilst maintaining required service levels.Be a custodian of excellent customer service and professionalism when dealing with staff, customers and prospective clients.Promote this excellence in customer service, professionalism and constant motivation within the team.Develop, mentor and performance manage the depot management team, to achieve continuous improvement across Depot operations and a highly skilled, focused and motivated workforce.Ensure effective communication with staff and customers within the Depot and across the business, to support business continuity.Monitor, audit and manage fleet maintenance, in line with Transport legislation.Ensure that drivers are legally compliant with EU and / or UK legislation.Ensure full compliance with HSE, other relevant legislation and business accreditations.Ensure reporting is carried out in full and on time on a weekly basis.Liaise and review supplier contracts to maximise benefits for the business, whilst developing and maintaining beneficial partnerships to ensure client retention.Develop any additional business potential within the scope of the business, ensuring commercial viability at all times.To complete any other reasonable duties as instructed by the senior management team.
