Contract Type: Full Time (37.5 hours), Fixed term until 31/12/2024
Salary: up to £40,707.68 per annum (DOE)
JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced Computer Science tutor who is looking for a new teaching role at the University of Sussex International Study Centre (ISC).
Our current course content and VLE is well developed and established therefore the ability to explain complex topics to international students who have little or no prior experience in Computing is a priority.
This position is suitable for a strong qualified A level Computer Science teacher or a teacher with some experience in teaching computing at degree level. Alternatively, we would be happy to speak to candidates with some teaching experience who have worked primarily in programming development roles. Applications from PhD students with an interest in computing education are very welcome.
The tutor should have excellent subject knowledge of the Java programming language or any other relevant object-oriented programming languages.
Optionally the candidate will have experience within the fields of AI or data science so that they can support pre-master students in addition to year one and foundation students.
