ART DECO - TAVANNES SALMON Decimal Font Dial cal. 587 STAYBRITE Steel Pocket Watch - SPLENDID CONDITION
Up for sale is a rare art deco Tavannes pocket watch in very good overall condition. The watch has been manufactured around 1930's.
The original salmon dial with white decimal font shows only minor sings of age or marks, otherwise well preserved. Fitted with a lovely white Rex hands set, in very good condition.
The low dome mineral crystal is in very good condition as well and original to the watch.
Lovely staybrite steel case with coin edge rim opens and closes nicely with a crisp sound, and show minor age related marks.
Inside case back serial and reference specific to Tavannes manufacture.
Very slim, nickel finished 15 jewel mechanism cal. 17\"' also ref. 587 signed Tavannes. Movement is in excellent condition and has been serviced last year.
Diameter of the watch excluding the pendant is ~45 mm. Including pendant ~57.5 mm. Thickness is ~7.5 mm.
All the imperfections are presented in pictures.
