Sold to its only private owner on the 22nd of May 1980, interestingly only 24 days before the 924 would make history at Le mans by claiming a debut 1, 2 and 3 famous class win that put the Porsche 924 into the history books with names like Derek Bell. Andy Rouse and Tony Dron piloting 924 Carrera GT’s that day. Condition... This car has to come under the banner of ‘time warp’, it is incredibly original and unrestored in all departments, from the beautiful undamaged Mocha brown paintwork to its almost untouched interior, the car feels pin sharp and correct in every way you would hope for (no broken, cracked or faded trim anywhere), a true pleasure to sit in. The car was mothballed in the late eighties and was to be hidden away until very recently. The car was stored correctly, indoors, on axle stands with four new Dunlops purchased in 1988 (we have the stickers from them in the history file) ready for the car to come back out again. Unfortunately this day didn’t come for the original owner and on his passing in recent years, the owners son entrusted his engineer friend (motor sport instructor) to recommission the car, with an eye for detail and a sympathetic and delicate touch this stunning 924 was once again ready to be enjoyed. Silverwood took possession of the car at this point, having supplied many 924’s over the years we knew we were stood in front of one of the finest and most original 924’s left anywhere! Points of Interest... Look closer on the sills, they still have the factory protective rubber coating!....incredible! The gentleman engineer, who recommissioned it, used to get lifts to school in the early eighties in this very car and he knew the car from 1980 through to 2022! ....42 years!!! This 924 is still in possession of the original window stickers and number plates. All the original keys are present, along with the original leather Porsche bag. All handbooks and service books are present and correct. The car had a beautiful, stainless steel oval finish exhaust system created for it in the mid eighties and it still looks and sounds superb (light metallic crisp note!) It was serviced four times, all at the supplying dealer, up until 1987 before being placed into storage. Summary.... Our building owes its origins to the local English Tea supplier \"Ringtons Tea\" serving as their main depot from the 1960s to the end of the last century.
Boasting a symmetrical design language in terms of the buildings composition with exposed structural elements such as the concrete buttresses that flank the external walls, as well as the linear succession of steel lintels occupying the internal canopy.
