So what have we here an absolutely stunning VW splitty bus ,having been restored a few years ago by a very well renowned garage in the VW scene , new panels where needed and boy does it show ,this isn't your average beat up rusty example ,van was totally stripped and gone through mechanically too ,all new rubbers went in etc and the interior retrimmed and still looks a treat to this day ,was used as Wedding transport where we all know a fortune can be made, and that aircon unit that is super icy cold is a godsend on a hot day to ensure the Bride doesn't look like she is about to marry Chuckie with runny mascara, ,it was then sold to a friend 6 years ago and he has treated it to a 1641 barrel and piston kit ,nothing drastic but juts peps it up a little from the original 1490 and helps keep up with the modern traffic , is fitted with an EMPI T shifter which certainly helps with the shifting and the original is here with the van too, also the EMPi handbrake extension a godsend if you like your finger nails intact ,has the jail bars ,the 3 bow roof rack and the towel rail bumpers and looks as cool as penguin p**s ,has a 2 speed wiper upgrade ,doesn't sound that interesting until you need it ,and a 90s tape deck ,amp and speakers and 4 excellent tyres, I've just done an oil and strainer change ,she's good to go
the original Solex Carb has been rebuilt but the es with a new EMPi carb and an electronic ignition conversion including the dizzy, probably not fitted as she runs pretty darn good and it was a get a \"round tuit\" job
Rear seat is set this way in the pics so you can watch the world go by through the barn doors ,can be swapped back in 5 mins if you prefer ,there are some belts fitted in the front that look to e out of a Jag but I very much doubt they are certified etc
so she's a super solid, super cool Splitty with only the tiniest of bubbles on a door top, she's a simple classic and a sure fire investment ,but with all classics expect to be having a tinker on a Sunday its all part of the fun of owning one

She looks like massive pared to others out there and would no doubt cost you way more than this to restore to this level that's not including buying a rusty van to start with
