1:1 Support Assistant
Teaching Personnel are working with a 'GOOD' rated mainstream Primary School in the Blackpool area who are seeking two 1:1 Support Assistants go support their 2 students which attend school on a full-time basis. It is important that the right candidates are nurturing to support the children within a positive way.
As a 1:1 Support Assistant you will be required to:
- Work with the students to help them access their education by implementing focus and brain break sessions.
- Encourage the students to access the mental health and therapeutic interventions.
- Liaise with parents/carers and health care professionals to ensure the needs of each pupil are met.
- Individualise your approach to meet the criteria of the pupils EHCP.
- Help them to learn to self-regulate their behaviours.
The school would be interested in a candidate who has previous experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours. They would also consider applications from Sports Coaches, Carers, Residential support workers, Youth Workers, and those with the experience within the Prison system or the Military.
