I studied at the Wat Po Massage School in Bangkok, which is the most famous massage school and Thailand's first university. The courses which I have passed are: Thai Traditional Massage April 2007 Oil Massage and Aromatherapy May 2007 Foot Massage June 2008 Professional Thai Massage Level 1 (153 hours) July 2008 Thai massage has always been associated with Buddhist temples and when I was studying at Wat Po the instructors would always pray before instructing. I am a practicing Buddhist and regularly attend the temple here in Wimbledon. The massage technique that I use is a combination of what I have learnt at Wat Po and techniques I was taught by my grandmother, who was a village Thai traditional doctor, it is not at all painful and the massage is enhanced by combining specific essential oils with the massage oils. Typical massages are for relaxation or invigoration or for specific pain ie back, shoulder and a minimum of 1 hour is required and two hours is better as it allows the body time to absorb the essentials oils. I use only the best quality organic base and essential oils to maximize their effects. I am based at the Porchester Centre in Queensway W2, as a part of the Physio team. The centre is one of Westminster's public leisure centres and has a modern, well-equipped gym, great pool. There is also a fabulous spa attached to the centre.
